
About Hazza
Hazza is an Australian journalist, television host, radio presenter, and singer based in Guangzhou, China.
Hazza currently hosts a number of programs for Guangdong Radio and Television (GRT), including "Guangdong News Now," "Guangdong Today," "Guangdong Report," "News Headlines," "Face Time," and "China Chats," for GRTRadio and GDTV World (GRT's International channel).
He is a regular guest on entertainment programs for GRT's Pearl River Channel and Guangdong Satellite Television, including "Xiang Cun Zhen Xing," "The Health Show," and “Have Fun Together.”
As of February 25, 2022, Hazza has temporarily stepped down as co-host or regular panelist on all entertainment programs due to personal considerations.
Hazza has released a number of Mandarin Chinese singles, including "Let Go" in 2012, which made it to the No.1 spot on the Guangzhou New Music Charts, as well as "No Worries," "Mr. Gentleman," while his latest single "I Was Wrong" was released in August 2020. Hazza's music videos have received in excess of 100 million hits on Chinese video-sharing platforms.
Hazza has been recognized for his journalistic work in China on a national level by receiving the "China News Award - First Prize" in 2016. A congratulatory message from Chinese President Xi Jinping was read at the awards ceremony. He also received the provincial-level "Guangdong News Award - First Prize" in 2016, and was named the 2017 Australia-China Alumni Association and TOEFL "Young Australia-China Alumni of the Year."
In 2020, Hazza was enlisted as an Anti-drug Ambassador for Haizhu District and is the current Chapter President of ACYPI Guangzhou Chapter. In 2019, Hazza hosted the Marriott International South China Black Tie Gala Dinner and helped raise 2.4 million yuan for the Yao Foundation.
Hazza has worked with many brands and organizations over the nine years he has been in China, including KFC, Huawei, Tourism New South Wales, Chimelong, and 9yuan Airlines.
